A Loom in the Yard and a Patience Passed Down
The sound of the loom in the yard is the sound of a BWKS Kriya alumni's childhood. She learned to weave lurik from her grandmother, slowly, between bouts of play.
Years later she brought the skill back to her village, teaching local women to weave in their spare hours.
The result is not only cloth but extra income and a patience hard to teach anywhere else.
