This page explains how Ika Smari Agitma handles alumni data in this directory. We aim to keep only what is needed and hand as much control as possible to you.
The account and profile data you enter is stored on our servers, not only on your device. We process this data based on your consent, and will notify you before any material change to this policy takes effect.
We only store what you enter yourself when you register: name, cohort year, and optionally role, city, and email. We do not ask for sensitive data and do not track you beyond this site.
We process your personal data on the basis of the consent you give when you register and through the visibility toggles you set. You may withdraw that consent at any time, as described under Your Rights.
Data is used solely to list you in the alumni directory so classmates can find and connect with you. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising.
Each of the role, city, and email fields has a visibility toggle. The directory shows only the fields you allow. Name and cohort year are shown so you can be recognised; the rest is entirely your choice.
Your account and profile data is stored on our servers in secure cloud storage. Profile photos are stored in secure cloud file storage. When you sign in, we create a session cookie scoped to the bhawikarsu.org domain so you stay logged in across the site. Transactional emails (verify your email, reset/set password, and invitations) are sent to the email address you provide.
We retain your personal data for as long as your membership is active. If you delete your account or request deletion, we remove or anonymise your data from our active systems within 30 days.
Under the Personal Data Protection Law, you have the right to: access and obtain a copy of your data; correct or update inaccurate data; end processing, erase, or destroy your data; withdraw consent; object to solely automated decision-making; postpone or restrict processing; and obtain your data in a machine-readable format and transfer it. You can change or delete your data directly through your account settings; for the other rights, submit a written request to the committee.
If we make a material change to this policy, we will notify you before it takes effect and, where required, ask for your consent again. The 'Last updated' date below marks the current version.
For questions about privacy or these terms, contact the Ika Smari Agitma committee through the community's official channel.
