Hand-Stitched Leather Bags Reaching Buyers Out of Town
It all began in a home garage with one old sewing machine. A BWKS Kriya alumni dared to make hand-stitched leather bags, one at a time, patiently.
The quality of the stitching spoke for itself. Orders came from out of town, then off the island, until he had to recruit a few neighbours to help.
He refuses to mass-produce. "Go fast and the soul is gone," he says, pulling a thread taut.
